I finally bit the bullet and decided that I should have a go at this chat show shennanigans that I've been threatening for a while.
In the light of the recent deaths of cyclists on Belfast roads I thought it would be interesting to have a conversation with some local cyclists to see what their thoughts are on cycling in this city.

My guests were all twitter sourced -
Conall McDevitt, South Belfast MLA
Austin Tanney, scientist and long distance cycle-commuter
and Chris McCorry, local musician and sound engineer.
I'd love to hear the thoughts of some people who DON'T think that cyclists are a nuisance, but those who espoused those views to me on Twitter declined to come on the show.
There were issues with the live-streaming, which I'll attempt to streamline in the future - video is tricky, audio less so, but ideally I'd have at least one camera streaming with the mixer audio alongside it.
Anyway, stick with me - the show probably won't be regular - I'm planning to do it when there is an issue to discuss, rather than try to come up with a story to fill the time.
Thanks for all the encouragement to do this, I think the first episode was a pretty good start.
Thanks also to Phil O'Kane who will hopefully be acting as somewhat of an on-air producer in future episodes.
And lastly a huge thanks to Stevie Mac from Über Glitterati for the excellent theme music he knocked up for me last night. I'm really taken with it!
